Planning Approval Granted for The Change of Use & Refurbishment of Existing Attached Byer in St Johns Chappel North Pennines AONB

Clive Elsdon Building Design are pleased to announce the granting of the planning approval for the change of use of a byer attached to an existing farm house set in the hills above St Johns Chapel. The consent also included permission to demolish an existing delapidated byer and construct a new extension in it’s place. Both areas can now become part of the dwelling.

The approval was obtained on behalf of a client, who had already started to refurbish the exsisting dwelling, which is located between the two byers. The building contractor on site is Meldrum Construction, of Birtley. It is expected that they will also continue on the conversion of the existing byer, and erection of the new extension.
